Under Charge & Over Deliver.
This what we kept in mind when building BAMF Wireless. It's driven how we developed everything from the solar array at the Tower of Power to the website you're reading now. Below is more information about us and what makes us different.
Our Mission
We are bringing a high speed internet service to the rural areas of Hawaii. We aim to be as transparent as possible with our customer and honest about what we can and cannot do. We want to give residents a better option than everything we have seen available, and do it at a better price.
The internet service industry as is leaves a lot to desire. Satellite providers offer decent speed but the distance the information has to travel mean there is nearly a full second of delay every time you click a new link. This may not sound like much but it adds up over time. Additionally, satellite provider have limited amounts of data you can use every month. So if you wanted to watch that new season on Netflix, you better plan on a big bill.
Even the current wireless providers have severe limitation on bandwidth, For the price it is simply taking advantage of being the only provider. We we aim to fix that.
How we're different
The current standard for internet is pay for speed. This means if the customer pays more they can get a faster connection. It doesn't cost the provider anything extra, they just make more money. It also introduces several options of speed to the customers which they may or may not understand.
We think it's time to introduce a new model. We give every customer the MAXIMUM speed we can deliver to their location. We think everyone should be able to get to their email, web pages, and cat memes as fast as our network can deliver it. When our network becomes saturated (geek speak for 100% utilization) we start limiting the speeds evenly to the users who are using it. Ensuring everyone still gets amazing reliable service at the greatest speeds possible. We also monitor our saturation levels hourly and increase our own speeds to keep up with growing demand.
The end result is customer having an average download speed of 125Mb/s.
Another benefit of this is our pricing structure. We like to keep things simple so we eliminated all the different tiers common for Internet Service Providers.
